Malicious Software Removal Tool From Within Windows Vista

Use the following steps to open the Malicious Software Removal Tool:

1. From the Windows Vista default Start menu, in the Start Search box, type: mrt. Press the ENTER key.

2. In the Malicious Software Removal Tool dialog box, click OK.

3. In the Welcome to the Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool dialog box, click Next.

4. In the Scan type dialog box, select the appropriate scan type, and then click Next.

5. The computer is scanned.

6. In the Scan results dialog box, click Finish.
