How to Turn System Restore Off

Use the following steps to turn System Restore off.

1. From the Start menu, right-click Computer. In the drop down menu, select Properties .

2. In the System window, under Tasks on the left hand side, click System protection.

3. In the User Account Control dialog box, click Continue.

4. In the System Properties dialog box, on the System Protection tab, click to clear the check mark next to the hard drive to turn System Restore off.

5. In the System Protection dialog box, click Turn System Restore Off.

6. In the System Properties dialog box, click OK.

7. Close all windows.
